Daniel J. Gage was formerly a senior House communications and policy strategist.
Dan was Chief of Staff to Rep. James T. Walsh of New York, a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. In that role, Dan directed all official and political operations for the ten-term Member of Congress and former Appropriations Cardinal and Ranking Member.
Previously, Dan was Congressman Walsh’s longtime Director of Communications and political director, developing and implementing a national and in-district media and public relations strategy on a daily basis. Before working with Rep. Walsh, Dan was the Assistant Director of Communications and later Director of Public Affairs for the City of Syracuse, New York under then Mayor and later HUD Deputy Secretary Roy A. Bernardi. In that position, Dan coordinated a proactive and innovative communitywide strategy to stem a rising juvenile violence challenge in the city.
Early in his career, Dan served in the White House of President George H.W. Bush where he worked in the Office of Communications under then White House Chief Speechwriter Tony Snow. He has extensive campaign experience, managing and messaging countless campaigns for federal, state, and local office.
