Christopher Lehman

The Honorable Christopher M. Lehman, PhD is the Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Consulting Corporation. Dr. Lehman served in the federal government for ten years in the national security field in both the Executive and Legislative branches.

He served in the White House from 1983 through 1985 as Special Assistant to President Reagan for National Security Affairs and was the Director of the Office of Strategic Nuclear Policy at the Department of State from the beginning of the Reagan Administration until he went to the White House in 1983.

On Capitol Hill, Dr. Lehman served as an Associate Staff Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee from 1976-1981, working directly for Senator Harry F. Byrd, Jr., and subsequently for Senator John W. Warner.

Dr. Lehman is published widely on foreign policy and national defense issues.

A native of Pennsylvania, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia. Dr. Lehman holds Masters degrees in both International Security Affairs and Law and Diplomacy, as well as his Ph.D. in International Security Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
