J.A. Green & Company is pleased to announce the addition of the Honorable Erin C. Conaton to its Board of Advisors. Conaton currently serves as President of Conaton Strategies, LLC and has previously worked with J.A. Green & Company on a broad range of national security and defense-related issues.
Conaton has previously served as both Under Secretary of the Air Force and Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. In both of these roles she had responsibility for managing the welfare of military personnel including 1.4 million active duty military personnel, 1.3 million Guard and Reserve personnel, and over 782,000 DoD civilians during her time as USD(P&R).

Prior to her work in the Department of Defense Conaton served on the staff of the House Armed Services Committee including time as both the Minority Staff Director (2005-2007) and the Majority Staff Director (2007-2010).
Conaton is a graduate of Georgetown University (B.Sc. – Foreign Service) and the Fletcher School at Tufts University (MA – Law and Diplomacy).
